Starting Strong with Early Childhood Connections (ECC)
We are proud to be one of seven Starting Strong schools in Rapid City, SD. We have three classrooms with teachers specializing in each age range to best prepare your child for school.
What is the Starting Strong program?
Starting Strong is a program that helps families in Rapid City by offering scholarships for three- and four-year-olds to attend preschool in a Starting Strong classroom.
Why is this program important to ECIS?
Starting Strong helps to ensure children can get a good start with their education. This program also provides our classrooms with the equipment needed to help children build social and developmental skills to prepare for school.
How is our Starting Strong preschool different?
Starting Strong uses the SD Early Learning Guidelines and research-based curriculums. The classrooms focus on play-based learning to build foundational skills like math, language, and problem-solving.
